Vegan Soup for the Illumined Soul
You can't live until you've died. No magic, no nothing, until death has touched you. That's some sort of shamanic rule, or maybe it's just a shamanic awareness of natural law. I hate to break it to you, but it's the truth. Either you know what I mean, or you are about to experience it. It's a step on the path, and after it hits you it will tear apart your environment, forcing you to step onward and find that one thing that defines you and keeps you going. That's the breaks, it's what is in the cards, it's your goal/destiny.
Near life
experience: The sudden, total, and complete awareness of the passage of
time. When you exist completely in the moment, you are now here, meaning
you've found the nothing in the middle of nowhere, which is the void through
mind into gnosis.
Nihilize. Nothing is, nothing becomes, nothing is
not. This is an inversion of IAO, which can be remembered as Intention,
Attention, and Outcome, the three stages of spellcraft. It is also to be
in touch with the Tao. Absofuckinglutely the best time to fire and forget.
Sigilcraft works best with intuition. I've created sigils which then needed to be burned. Other times I've created sigils which needed to be hand-copied onto a serious number of green stickers and planted around a state institution. It just depends on the situation which arises, and the nature of the sigil. As you create the sigil, the rest of the ritual will unfold. By picking up the pen, you have begun a ritual which will not end until the completion of your will, unless you have a back-up plan to turn off the sigil in the event you later realize you didn't have all the facts.
"Personal unconscious rests upon a deeper layer, which does not derive from personal experience and is not a personal acquisition but is inborn. This deeper layer I call the collective unconscious. I have chosen the term 'collective' because this part of the unconscious is not individual but universal; in contrast to the personal psyche, it has contents and modes of behavior that are more or less the same everywhere and in all individuals. It is, in other words, identical in all men (& women. ed.@large) and thus constitutes a common psychic substrate of a suprapersonal nature which is present in every one of us." - Carl Jung
Cultures evolve when they have built in programs to discourage rote self-replication, to stimulate self-change via shock/humor devices such as irreverent counter-culture, chaotics, etc., and programs to invite fusion with other cultures and media languages. By these terms, the American cultural landscape is both highly unstable and evolutionary.
Cultural shifts are both predicted and reflected by the art produced from within the culture. Art is also magical in nature. "All Art is Magick." as Aliestar Crowley proclaims in Magick in Theory and Practice. Art is that which touches the soul of the viewer in such a way that it leaves a mark which cannot be removed. The viewer, the artist, and the piece in question become linked in a place outside of time, a landscape of the psyche where symbolism and metaphor form the building blocks of common knowledge, where passion and beauty are indivisible. This link is permanent, and it is in this way that bonds are forged which can supercede life itself.
I am certain that there is a power in the creative act which cannot merely be attributed to the series of actions which led to the formation of a pattern. Art is imbued with the essence of its creator, an essence which is fueled by spiritual energy and passion, and which can later be felt, even utilized, by a viewer or participant. All Art is a marriage of Essence, Pattern, and Form. When combined correctly and with emotional precision, the transference of image is at its highest potential. When the essence of the pattern is enhanced by the form in which it exists, the essence of the created pattern becomes a further definition of the form in which it is contained. (To be a mage in a society which believes in proofs, facts, and scientific investigation is to be considered slightly mad. Sometimes just the syntax that paragraphs acquire during exploration of magickal themes can drive a person batty.)

"It is as if the ordinary language we use every day has in it a hidden set of signals, a kind of secret code. That code can touch into life a pattern in our feelings, a pattern not ordinarily caused by events that just happen, because what just happens is too random to bring about sustained feelings. But some language may start experiences that resonate with the self, with the being we have become amidst our apparently random encounters with this alien world." - William Stafford
"Take a dictionary and copy all the so-called abstract words, i.e., those which have no concrete reference, compose a schematic sign designating each of these words. These signs must be thought of as the letters of the new alphabet." - Marcel Duchamp
The magickal power of words (and of chanting) is their ability to restructure thought patterns, or to prepare a thought pattern along which to channel energy, as if in a glyph. The keys to manipulate the subconscious mind rely upon certain elements, one being shifting ideas slowly, across key symbolic areas in which the meme is to be planted. By presenting these ideas in the form of a chanted phrase that shifts, a subconscious awareness of an order of progression is created. A truly powerful piece would use overlays of all forms of the shifting chant simultaneously at the peak or crisis moment, reinforcing the programming.
At peak human sensitivity, electricity can be seen radiating in waves from electrical lines. Electrical power generators radiate against the night sky.

Invoke the spirit of the Dance
If you have T those who perform negative acts
First get UT work against the manifestation
Then get OUT of the true nature of reality
& Learn how to
Dance.
There is a time and a place for
balance. Order and chaos are a ballad. Therefore, lest the scales tip too
heavily into the lower areas:
Negativity and the banishment thereof... Chaos can
easily get out of hand, just like order. Invariably, occultists are horrid
housekeepers. There are exceptions, but as a whole we are a messy
lot. So what? It suits us. But when it comes time to banish
negative energies, there is nothing more energizing towards beneficial life
transformation than cleaning your place on hallucinogenic substances, the more
powerful, the better.
Even the discovery of small bits of trash will trigger
memories of events that are influencing your life at this very second. The
power unleashed during a psychic event of this magnitude (cleaning your place)
is (under proper conditions) not unlike the energy contained within a nuclear
warhead. As a tool of self-transformation, it is amazing what throwing
away the correct bits of paper can do for one's emotional well-being.
