Reality Piracy
Reality Piracy is the act of subverting the memetic makeup of the current cultural landscape using tools devised by applying principles of both the surrealist and the situationist art movements of this century.
The surrealist movement was an attempt to transform consciousness by bridging the gap between the conscious and the subconscious mind. The situationist collective utilized direct intervention to create a predetermined sequence of events which they would then maintain through memetic triggers in an attempt to create a meme-free state in the audience. The meme-free state could be likened to satori, to a disassociative trance, to an onrushing of energy from the spine through to the animal back-brain.
Reality Piracy is therefore a way to create situations whereby the subconscious mind of an observer is exposed to triggers through situations controlled by the reality pirate that cause this meme-free state. The goal would be an environment in which individual memes could be culled from a culture by direct application of new memes which can overpower the old
Metathesis is the natural mutational form of a memetic structure. When a meme encounters another meme coterminous with it's memotype, there is a seething of the divergent memomes & metathesis can occur. Metathesis can occur in the following ways:
1. Both memes are absorbed into a third meme.
2. One meme is changed, the other remains intact.
3. Both memes are changed.
A meme which is self-repairing, self-replicating, and which has an internally static structure has a greater chance of resisting metathesis, especially if its montage is devoted solely to that specific meme.
When meme's hold opposing paradigmatic views, the chance of metathesis occuring are virtually nil, and a memetic clash may occur which could then develop into an armed engagement or otherwise competitive matrix.
Metathesis provides for a large percentage of current memes. Seldom does an entire memetic structure arise spontaneously, divorced from any surrounding memes. Instead, memes evolve in lamarkian fashion, cannibalizing surrounding memes and integrating memetic precepts, percepts, and concepts into the new meme's structure. When this is done deliberately, using a metamemetic system, the results can be almost immediate, creating widespread paradigm shifts across entire cultures.
When memes are produced by a committee, consciously and following proper metamemetic structuring techniques, the meme can become an egregore. An egregore is a type of group mind which is created when people consciously come together for a common purpose, and has the characteristic of being a synergetic component of the committee which produced it, stimulating the faculties of the committee which will permit the realization of the egregore's program.
I posit one can manufature ones own memetic structures to infiltrate ones own subconscious mind to break programming which has been embedded. This action can be undertaken deliberately over a period of years with the aid of a psychologist, perhaps, but the underlying energies of the subconscious mind are hardly acted upon even in this situation. Instead, to actively work with the imagery of the subconscious mind and to embed memes designed to wipe out earlier imprinting, then the rate of success and the time necessary diminish drastically.

1. Create problem or Create Awareness of problem
2. Generate Media Attention for problem
3 Offer prepared solution for problem
The formula for meme performance
Media Popularity + Information Relevancy + Creative Ingenuity + Expendable Resources to launch meme = Meme Effectiveness.
Glossary:
Meme: A memory item, or a portion of an organisms neurally-stored information, identified using the abstraction system of the observer, whose instigation is dependant on an istigations of causation regarding intricate recombinant lograms, evocations, or preprogrammed behaviors &/or emotional behavioristic responses by feeding off of already open chains of information replication - (black box repeaters) - as well as reproducing through, which, when active, and mutate to adapt.
Montage: A memetic transference device which contains the entire body of information which makes up any given meme. Montage type can mutate memes to fit its storage and replication methods. From Farhenheit 451 = Montag, the primary character, & carrier of a meme..
Metameme: A metameme is a structure of principles created to open a meme up in such a way as to be manipulated or changed, metamemetics being the construction of environments to adhere memes to montages, to cull information virii from memes, and to update memes deliberately.
Memome: One set of the core precepts of any given meme.
Memotype: All or part of the memetic constitution of an information virus, metameme, or montage, also of a given culture or other social grouping.
Rememeber: Memetic replication after a period of dormancy, reliving knowledge through transmission of information.
Sigilization: Construction of a perceptual device which embodies the concepts of a specific meme in a logogrammatical device.
Meme Lexicon
Egregores & Corp. Magick:
I'm seeing in the corporate world a series
of egregores, egregores being a step above servitors and a wee bit below
godforms, the essential spiritual force of an organization. (this isn't
paranoia, its for magickal purposes) (heheheh)
so anyway, you got the United States, & what's the spirit of the US?
It's Uncle Sam. If you were to conjure or evoke Uncle Sam, and
command (or bind) U. Sam into doing something, carrying a meme of some sort, it
would spread into the culture of the USA.
Next institutional example, & this is the bit thing I mentioned in the above
box, is something like Disney, w/ an egregore of Mickey Mouse. Each of
these entities can be dealt with in precisely the same format as any other
psychic entity.
Media and magic
have much in common. The creation of an image, and the sustained feeding of that
image, as occurs on tv, is much like the creation of a servitor, (or, in these
examples, an egregore. Is it like a Loa? shit, don't ask me... I know nothing
about Loa's, 'cept what I read about in those William Gibson books, & w.
Gibson doesn't strike me as a master vodoun or whatever they calleth
themselves.) Anywho, any institution (or corporate body) is, in the eyes
of the law, an immortal person. They are a legal entity. Pop the
animist paradigm down on that, & the legal entity now has a spiritual
nature... a collective mind made up of the organization's key members, with a
body of influence equivelant to the number of lesser members in the group.
To improve or destroy a given organization, the magical area of effect and
the nature of the entity must be established, & a name would help. use that
as a basis for begining the creation of the ritual.
Mass media & the ideosphere are
filled with these egregores, not like in the old days when the only psychic
critters were fire elementals and lightning & whatnot... maybe Baphomet in
the middle ages, or the egregores of shit like the fictional catholic saints
(st. Christopher... et al) or other committee produced spiritual entities...
so the ideosphere is filled with this shit, & the reflection of the
ideosphere (the new Akashic Records, as it were) is the internet..
humanities uploaded super-subconscious, the online collective consciousness,
you get the idea.
This online web acts as the encyclopedia of everything, by now
almost any given sphere of human study is online, as is all the religious,
spiritual, philosophical, and metaphysical crap that adhers to us mortal
fuckers. The more energy focused into one of these egregores, the more it
grows, both in financial rewards and in psychic maneuverability. (pepsi
cans are supplanting the tao symbol!!!!!!!!!)
